Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Allowances mobile application ("App") operated by Apps by Dad ("we," "us," or "our").
Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the App.
Description of Service
Allowances is a family finance app that helps parents teach children about money management through allowances, chores, savings goals, and related features. The App is intended for use by parents or guardians and their children within a family context.
Account Registration
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- You must provide accurate and complete information when registering
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You agree NOT to:
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, other accounts, or our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
- Use the App to harm, harass, or exploit any person
- Share your account credentials with unauthorized parties
Intellectual Property
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Apps by Dad and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the App. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to use, store, and process that content as necessary to provide the service.
Service Providers
The App relies on third-party infrastructure to operate. How personal information is collected, used, and shared is explained in our Privacy Policy. In summary:
- Supabase provides authentication, database, realtime synchronization, and related backend services for your account and family data.
- Apple provides App Store distribution and, if you enable notifications, the Apple Push Notification service (APNs).
We do not embed third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the App for cross-app tracking.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason. You may terminate your account at any time through the App settings.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting updated Terms in the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
